Miniatures are not accepted

At Moose 3D, we use state-of-the-art Bambu Lab H2S 3D printers to ensure consistent, high-quality results across all prints. Below are the key specifications of the machines we use:
Best for: Outdoor signs, brackets, automotive trim, enclosures, garden accessories and functional components.
Not recommended for: Decorative models, toys or low-cost prototypes.
To help you get the best possible results from your custom 3D print, we've compiled the following guidelines. Whether you're uploading a prototype, a mechanical part, or something creative, these tips will help ensure your model prints accurately and reliably.
🧩 File Format & Upload
Accepted formats: .STL, .3MF
File size limit: Up to 100MB per file
You may upload multiple files in a single order
Make sure your model is watertight (no holes or gaps) and manifold
📐 Design Considerations
Minimum wall thickness: 0.8mm
Recommended text size: Embossed or engraved text should be ≥ 4mm high
Avoid overhangs exceeding 45° without support
For assemblies or interlocking parts, allow:
0.2mm clearance for a tight press fit
0.4–0.5mm clearance for sliding or moveable fits
🦶 Orientation & Supports
Default orientation is automatically selected for best printability and strength
If your part requires a specific orientation, include instructions in the notes
Supports are automatically generated unless "no supports" is requested
🪛 Post-Processing
Basic support removal is included by default
If your part requires precision finishing, sanding, or assembly, please specify when placing your order
We do not currently offer painting or chemical smoothing
⚠️ Limitations
Very fine features (under 0.5mm) may not print accurately
Large flat surfaces may show minor warping or layer lines due to the nature of FDM printing
If in doubt, contact us before uploading — we're happy to advise
We recommend uploading models that are final and tested. If you’re unsure whether your design is printable, we’re happy to take a look and provide feedback or suggestions.
At Moose 3D, we offer multicolour 3D printing using the advanced Automatic Material System (AMS) on our Bambu Lab H2S printers. This allows us to print parts with up to four different colours or materials in a single print — ideal for visual models, logos, enclosures, and unique custom projects.
🧠 How It Works
The AMS automatically switches between up to four loaded filaments during the print process
A purge tower is used to flush out the previous colour before transitioning, ensuring clean and sharp colour changes
Your model must be designed with colour-separated mesh (e.g. .3MF files with colour assignments or grouped STLs)
We can also manually assign colours if you provide instructions during upload
🎯 Multicolour Guidelines
Maximum: 4 colours per print
Supported file types: 3MF with colour data, STL (with separate files per colour)
Use clear layer or part separation to define colour zones
Best results are achieved with:
Embossed or inset logos
Layer-based colour changes
Parts broken into colour segments
🚨 Limitations to Note
A purge tower is required, which increases material usage and print time
Complex or fine multicolour changes may require splitting the model into parts
Not suitable for colour gradients or photo-realistic colour prints (FDM is not full-colour like resin or inkjet systems)
🎨 Available Colours
We stock a curated range of colours in PLA and PETG, including:
Basic tones: Black, White, Grey, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow
Special finishes: Silk, Matte, Translucent, and Glow-in-the-Dark
Custom colours can be sourced on request — just let us know what you’re looking for.
If you're unsure how to prepare your model for multicolour printing, feel free to contact us for advice. We can help convert your model or guide you through the process.
Turnaround times vary depending on print size, complexity, and material, but most orders are completed within 3–5 working days. Larger or multicolour jobs may take longer. You'll receive an email notification at each stage of the process.
We currently accept STL, 3MF, STEP, AMF and OBJ files. For multicolour prints, please upload a 3MF file with colour data or separate STL files per colour, along with clear instructions.
We store STL files for 30 days after a successful order. After this time, the files are automatically deleted unless you contact us to request that we retain them for future orders.
Any STL files uploaded without placing an order will be deleted immediately for security and server efficiency.
If you’d like us to keep your files for future use, please get in touch after placing your order.
Yes! We offer multicolour printing using the Bambu Lab AMS, which supports up to 4 colours per print. See the "Multicolour Printing" tab for full details and design requirements. Or scroll down this page and complete the form for multicolour options.
If you don’t have a model yet, we can refer you to one of our trusted CAD designers, or help you source an existing file if it's publicly available. Just get in touch and let us know what you need.
Once your file enters the printing queue, we cannot make changes or cancellations. If you spot an issue, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help before printing begins.
We stand behind our print quality. If your part fails due to a print error, we offer up to three free reprint attempts. For custom STL files provided by the customer, we do not offer full refunds unless there is a proven fault on our part.
Yes — we ship across the UK and internationally using Royal Mail Tracked services. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.
Our printers achieve ±0.1–0.2mm dimensional accuracy in most cases. For precision fittings, we recommend designing a clearance of at least 0.2mm between moving or connecting parts.
Please read the following terms carefully before placing your order. By uploading a file or submitting an order through our calculator, you agree to the terms outlined below. Our full terms and conditions can be found on the Terms and Conditions page.
1. Custom Print Policy
All orders are printed on demand based on files provided by the customer. As such, we do not offer returns or full refunds on completed prints unless there is a proven fault with the printing process.
2. Order Changes & Cancellations
You may request changes or cancellations before your part enters the printing queue.
Once printing has begun, the order is locked and cannot be altered or refunded.
3. Reprint Guarantee
If a print fails due to a machine or material error, we will reprint your part up to three times at no extra charge.
If all three reprint attempts fail, the order will be cancelled.
In some cases, we may deduct up to 50% of the original order value to cover material costs.
4. File Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that uploaded models are correct, watertight, and suitable for FDM printing.
We are not liable for issues caused by design flaws, improper tolerances, or unsuitable model geometry.
5. Dimensional Accuracy
While we strive for high precision (±0.1–0.2mm), minor variation is possible. For interlocking or functional parts, we recommend designing with adequate clearance.
6. Intellectual Property
By uploading a file, you confirm that you:
Own the rights to the model, or
Have permission to reproduce it
We do not print copyrighted or trademarked content without proof of permission.
7. Shipping & Delivery
