FANATEC QR1 WALL MOUNT

If you want to store your steering wheels on the wall or on your rig, then the QR1 wall mount is the perfect option. The QR of your steering wheels locks into place on the wall mount in exactly the same way as on your Fanatec Wheelbase and therefore offers the perfect hold.

CSL Heel Rests

The Heelrest is primarily intended for Formula and GT racing simulations (and all other simulations where you don’t need a clutch pedal) and helps to keep both heels in a constant position.

The more constant the position of the feet is kept on the pedal plate, the more constant the feeling when braking and thus improves your lap times! The Heelrest has proven to be particularly helpful for pedals that are mounted quite steeply (i.e. when the pedal plate has a steep incline).

There are 3 different designs, which can be selected according to your preferences for the accelerator and brake foot.

Installation is very simple using the screws that connect the individual pedals to the pedal plate. Simply unscrew the screws, place the heel rest over the screw holes and screw the screws back in. That’s it!

FANATEC Button Caps

The cheaper, better and more attractive alternative to the original Fanatec button caps

Put the button caps on your steering wheel and enjoy the look!

The button caps do not damage the buttons of your Fanatec steering wheel in any way and hold just as well as the original button caps from Fanatec.

FANATEC DIY Semi QR1

This is a self-designed quick release for Fanatec wheelbases of the QR1 generation.

There are 2 variants:

VARIANT 1: With base plate for original Fanatec wheels, i.e. 6 holes for mounting with the M5 Allen screws

VARIANT 2: With smaller base plate with only 4 holes for DIY wheels (it has been shown that mounting with 4 screws is more than sufficient, even Fanatec wheels are sometimes only connected to the QR1 with 4 screws)

Regardless of the variant, the QR offers enough space inside for the steering wheel pins in the wheel base, both for the original Fanatec steering wheels and for DIY wheels with e.g. SRM Fanatec emulator.

FANATEC DIY Semi QR2

The Quick Release is intended to be an inexpensive alternative to the original QR2. Especially for Simracers with many steering wheels who want to switch to the QR2 system despite the enormous price or who have already switched, this Semi Quick Release is the ideal solution.

The assembly of the QR2 is described in step-by-step instructions in German and English. It really is very easy!

The QR2 is mounted on the wheelbase by turning the 2 wheels. These press the bolts in the QR onto the notches on the wheelbase axle. (see photos)

My QR was tested for a total of 1.5 months for 8 Nm and always enabled a play-free connection between the steering wheel and wheelbase. The QR is clamped onto the wheelbase by the angled locking rings and then pulled onto the wheelbase axle and preloaded. This results in a secure connection.

I am aware that the system is not the “quickest” quick release, but this small disadvantage in terms of the quality of the connection between the wheelbase and the wheel is absolutely worth it. Changing a steering wheel still only takes a few seconds and for people who rarely change steering wheels anyway, changing the steering wheel is not a problem.

FANATEC Thumb Encoder MOD

Who hasn’t experienced it: You’re playing F1 or Assetto Corsa Competizione with your Fanatec Formula Wheel and you keep hitting the thumb encoder wheels and adjusting the differential or brake balance. Very annoying!

To prevent this, I have developed a thumb encoder mod. The roller fits exactly into the pockets of the thumb encoder wheel and thus prevents the encoder from turning unintentionally. Due to the flex of the component, the thumb encoder can still be moved. Operating the thumb encoder is much more tactile due to the resistance and it is easier to tell when to move it and when not to.

Installation is very simple using the upper mounting screw of the “Advanced Paddle Module”. The screw is simply unscrewed, the Thumb Encoder Mod is placed on the screw and the screw is screwed back into the steering wheel. That’s it!

I will test whether the Thumb Encoder Mod also works for the Magnetic Paddle Module in the next few days and let you know!

The big advantage is that the conversion is always reversible and the steering wheel is not damaged.

MG GTxF1 Wheel (For FANATEC)

The idea behind the steering wheel was to design a combination, or rather a hybrid steering wheel, for formula racing and GT racing. The diameter of the steering wheel rim is 295 mm, which is in the middle of the typical steering wheel diameters for both types of motorsport. This makes it perfect for playing classics such as Assetto Corsa Competizione and the Codemasters (EA) F1 series.

Despite its many functions, the steering wheel is very easy to assemble. There is a construction manual in German and English, in which each construction step is described WITH PICTURES. All required parts are included with links in the instructions.

There is also no need for programming, as the steering wheel can be set up with just a few clicks in SimHub (free download). For this purpose I provide you with 2 setup files, which only need to be loaded into SimHub. Each step on SimHub is also explained in the instructions.
